Avira is probably better than AVG and works reasonably well with jaws. It does have a notification screen that pops up every so often telling you about upgrading, but amusingly that won't read with JFW. It will update automatically though and the scans are unobtrusive.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] jaws friendly anti virus software info requested

I am running avast but don't find it jaws accessible. I am trying to find a software where I can have a scan run daily instead of manually. I have heard of stopsign, AVG I have heard isn't as powerful as avast. Any help appreciated. I don't want to pay for avast since it isn't accessible.
