all i can see is adobe exe
when i press enter nothing happens.
i did not download or install adobe reader.
it was on the system when it came
if i don't need acrabat why does the p d f file i want to read state i need
acrabat?

Did you agree to the Agreement? Have you run the Jaws/Adobe Acessibility
Wizard? Are you sure the document you are trying to read is a properly
made
pdf and not just a pdf image?

realising the previous was for the paid product i went to run the program
and another version of adobe reader was detected this is 10.0 however you
are quite correct in waht you told alvin i have adobe reader 10 which

went to open a p d f file earlier and was told i need acrabat and i am to
agree to the licence agreement so i am looking to get adobe reader
complete
with acrobat working properly or find an alternative p d f reader.
one that is blind friendly preferably

Hi List,
I am wondering how come no one has recommended just going to the check
for updates option under the help menu within the Adobe Reader program?
It seems to still work without any problems from what I can tell.
I believe this is simpler than going to the website all of the time as
long as it works.
Am I missing something? :)
Unless you need to download the Adobe program onto your system, I
believe this is the easier way to go.
I am using Jaws 8 with Windows XP Home SP3, and it downloads and
installs
without any issues. :)
