Does it really need to be removed? Couldn't it just be disabled? This can be accomplished by going to the View menu, arrow down to the Toolbars entry, arrow right and then arrow down to the WinAmp menu item. Most likely there is a check mark in front. Hitting Enter should disable this Toolbar. If you look at the Toolbar submenu again, the WinAmp menu item will be unchecked.

Rosemary, don't know if this will help but in win 7 you have to go to control panel, then programs and features. Even then though, in my experience, it's a pain in the ass to get rid of the winamp toolbar.

Hi, Rick,

I forgot to tell you I'm using windows 7 now. I used to be able to go to the control panel to add andremove programs but it's different. I tried looking
for the winamp toolbar in programs and features but didn't find it there.
Maybe there's somethingI'm not doing right. I'm still relatively new to
windows 7.

Thanks very much for your help in advance.

Hi, everyone,

How do I get rid of the winamp toolbar? I’m using windows media player as my
default player.

Thanks very much in advance.
