Hello there; I just tried ripping CD using NVDA. I did the following,
1, place CD which I want to rip into the drive. 2, you will hear the music start to play, Press ctrl+s to stop, 3, it was a little tricky to find the rip button, but with a little tabbing I arrived on the rip cd button, Note, when you place CD into drive, all of the tunes are checked to be ripped. If you want to change this, go to library ctrl+1, Now, tab or shift tab, until you hear, It's probably better to shift+tab to details pane list, Here you can uncheck or check, Next I pressed ctrl+3, And tabbed to the rip button. Hope this helps. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Sent: Saturday, November 05, 2011 2:12 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Is it possible to rip and burn a CDusing WMP12and JAWS 12? Hello there; Well, I haven't listened to the audio file your speaking of, However, I can say without a doubt, I do not need to use the jaws cursor to rip nor burn a cd. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Allen Childs Sent: Saturday, November 05, 2011 11:48 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Is it possible to rip and burn a CDusing WMP12and JAWS 12? Hi Rosemarie, I did rip the cd following the instructions laid out by Brian Lee, on the audio page, at the JAWS Users site. I did have to use the JAWS cursor a lot during the burning process. I'm not sure how much difference there would be using NVDA. I had to use a lot of the keys with the JAWS cursor, to accomplish the burning. Hi, Alan, I'm wanting to rip a CD to my computer so I can burn it for a friend of mine in Maine. What would be the easiest way to do it? I'm using NVDA so it might be different than it is using Jaws. I also have a windows 7 64-bit system. Thanks for your help in advance. Hi David, Well, I did get most of it figured out. Thanks for replying. I did watch Brian Lee's audio tutorial on the subject, from the JAWS Users site. I was able to burn three CD's. Thanks again, Allen -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Sent: Friday, November 04, 2011 6:57 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Is it possible to rip and burn a CD using WMP12 and JAWS 12? Hello there; Yes to both of your answers; To rip a CD; 1, place the cd into the drive, When the music starts to play, Press ctrl+s=stop, If you start to tab you should find the list of tunes, You can uncheck the one's you wish not to burn, or, you can leave them all checked, You should be able to tab and find a rip button. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Allen Childs Sent: Thursday, November 03, 2011 5:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Blind-Computing] Is it possible to rip and burn a CD using WMP 12 and JAWS 12? Hi everyone, I have WMP 12, JAWS 12 and W7. I would like to know if it is possible to rip and then burn a cd using WMP 12. I am trying to burn something for a friend. I had to have help from my wife to get the cd ripped. I haven't tried to burn it yet. I wasn't sure if anyone knew how to do this using WMP 12, or if there is a tutorial somewhere covering it. If someone can help, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Allen "Four out of five people think the fifth is an idiot."
