Lenny, I asked this very same question to Microsoft directly before I bought my Office program. What they said is you can only have Office installed on computers up to your license level. In my case I have two licenses that came with Office Home & Business 2010. I have 3 computers in my house. So if I have installed on mine and my wife's and want to install on the spare I need to uninstall on mine or my wife's first. They said once uninstalled it frees up another registration.
