Hi Michael
No, you can't use a USB cable.
If you have a flash drive, or external drive, copy your files to it, and
then connect the drive to the Win7 machine, and copy them in the necessary
locations.
Also, if the computers are networked, via ethernet cable and a router, then
you can put the files in a shared folder, and transfer them over your
network.
Additionally, if you have a DropBox account, and you have it installed on
both machines, then you can put your files in your DropBox folder on one
computer, and get them from the same folder on the other machine.
If you need more help, just sing out.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Question What kind of cord do I need

Hello Listers,In order for me to transfer my files from my XP machine to my
windows 7, What kind of cord do I need? I am thinking one that has 2 USB
plugs at both ends. Is this correct? Just want to make sure.
Thanks
