Well, I did exactly that yesterday, and it took like 5 minutes for email to
come through, but, since am here in south africa, my timelines are a bit
different from some people, since I am actively busy on 'net while other
parts of world are quiet...<smile>

If you go to the online sign in page:
https://login.skype.com/account/login-form
There you can tell them you've forgotten your password, and have them
send you an email to help you then reset it, etc.
