Hi Donna! Yes, (D) is a smiley in WLM for Martini so JAWS also recognizes it; try unchecking "show emoticons" in the messages list under tools/options or try some alternatives like small d instead or just D) without the left parenthesis if it's also acceptable on their part. Martina
