I bought a 3 terabyte Seagate for around $100, so $90 for a tb seems kind of steep to me. I'm very happy with my Seagate external, though. Had really bad experiences with Hitachi drives, so I'd avoid those.

I just purchased from Best Buy a Seagate with a USB plug, this particular model does not require to be plugged into wall outlet, it's about the size
of my VR Stream, and is a Terabyte . I paid about $90 for it.
