hey there, I have a win 7 laptop and a 5 in one card reader which I dearly love. I have somewhere like 4-5 USB ports, one is being used for my blue tooth wireless keyboard. The card reader is drive "F" and I just put in the SD card and window's 7 does the rest. So, even though this is not a thumb drive, I just wanted you to know it will be o.k smiles
