Open up your search box and type in the word notifications. Then tab to the
check box to always show all icons in the system tray and check it.  Then
hit enter, that should do it or so it seems at the moment. Let me know

On my xp desktop, that was always showing in my system's tray. But on the
win/7 laptop, it's not there ever.
