Yes, it does all of that. The fact that the subject is read at the beginning doesn't bother me at all.

Hello, I am using JAWS 13.o.852, Win7, 64 bit, along with WLM 2011. I have heard that some use Thunderbird and seem to like it and it seems to work well with their JAWS. One thing I would like to know, does Thunderbird read the, to, from and subject line for the next e-mail after closing the previous one? Does JAWS start reading from the top of the message when opened? And, can a signature be created? I hope I haven't asked to many questions. If anyone can think of anything that I haven't covered, I would like that information also. Everyone's time is greatly appreciated. Allen I waited all night for the sun to come up, then it dawned on me.
