You can also use the Applications Key and arrow down to Insert and then down
to Row, column, etc. There are initial letters that you can use for this,
but off of the top of my head, I can't remember them.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Inserting Rows in Excel - Was: adding amounts in
cell columns

For the sake of example, let's say you want to insert a new empty row
between Row 6 and Row 7. To do this:

- position the cursor on any cell of Row 7.
- use the <ALT>+I keystrokes to request insertion.
- Then use the R key to create the new empty Row 7.

All subsequent rows (including the former Row 7) will have been incremented
by 1.

You can do something similar to insert a new column, but after the <ALT>+I
keystrokes use the C key to create the new empty column

You could also use the menu/ribbon, but I really can't find the row/column
specific items on the ribbon so I can't tell you how to do that.
