Norman,

Are you using an IOS device?

Because, putting my gmail account on my iPhone, I didn't have to do any of
this procedure. Just entered the email and password, the i Phone did the
rest. Mail is already coming through and so far it's not been any sissues to
access the emails and/or perform an actions within the mail app on my phone.

Hi.
If you use Gmail you want to enable imap.
You have to do this on the web interface by going to settings.
Then when you are setting up your account in your e-mail client, where it
says pop3 press down arrow until you here imap.
You will have to change your server settings.
For the incoming server change the security to ssl and the port number to
993.
For the outgoing server change the security to tls and the port to 587.
If you have any questions let me know.

I do have that info here. I wanted to know re the "enable" pop3 account or
whatever that said at beginning. I already have that enabled being as I am
using an account already that requires this, so do I just bypass this?

Check the tips and tricks page for the information you require, it's been
there for quite some time.

I finally got one of these complicated email accounts, now I'm wondering if
I have bite off more than I can chew.

The purpose for it in first place was to put it on my iPhone, so that is
done. The other thing is I need to I guess is set it up with my window's
mail and this is where y'all come in..
So, what is the procedure to get it in my email client?

Thanks,

Trish
