then set it to do so in the application and save it as your normal.dotx file
so this is hard set as normal

formatting area and paragraph settings is where it was, don't know how to
get there in ribbons,

Thanks, but I must continually check to be sure it is spacing 1.5 spaces in
between lines as I type.
This is why I need something simple to help me determine this on a regular

Hi,

I think control 1 on the keyboard is for single-spacing and control 2 is for
double-spacing. I'm not sure if that's correct for word 2010 but that's what
my word 2007 book says.
