I standardly just let the ninite site handle things like flash updates/installs for me - go here, check the checkboxes of what you actually want installed/updated, activate download, save the resulting file somewhere on hard drive, run it, and it will handle all updates/installs for you in background:

Stay well

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Updating Adobe Flash Player

Hi all. Lately I have not been able to listen to any files from youtube and I get a message that says I should update my Adobe Flash player.
My questions are these.
1. Should I download the file first and install it myself rather than just hitting the "run" button? 2. Can I install Adobe Flash player without also having to install Google Chrome? Someone told me I had to have Google Chrome in order to use the latest version of Adobe Flash.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Pete
