Hi Rick,

Thank you very much for confirming this. I read several different search
results & was getting mixed messages. Some would say that you couldn't
upgrade 2.0 ports to 3.0 ports but, you could install a 3.0 USB card. I
seemed to recall that XP would not support 3.0 ports & just got tired of
reading through all the internet minutia so, I thought my best bet would be
to ask the list & I would get better information & better explained answers
or, links to more reliable information! Thanks again.
Take care.
Mike

Hi Mike,
According to the info found at:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&tbo=d&q=windows+xp+usb+3.0+support&revid=806401484&sa=X&ei=f7jPUIHUFIPq0gGPx4CgAw&ved=0CJUBENUCKAM&biw=1024&bih=585

XP does not officially support USB 3.0, you need Windows 7 for that. At this
point there will not be any official fix to hack in USB 3.0 support into ...
There appears to be more info on that page.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Hi All,

Will an XP operating system support the use of a 3.0 USB card? Thank you all
very much.
Take care.
