Hi Al,

Thank you for your input. Now, come to find out, this printer is not
ethernet cable compatible. So, we'll just have to go the USB cable route.
It would have been nice to have the ethernet cable accessibility & being
able to print without having an extra computer turned on.
Take care.
Mike

Mike,

One advantage I see with this is that you don't need a specific
computer on to access the printer. We have an all in one and runs
through our router but wirelessly rather than hard wired

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Printer Installation Question

Hi all,

We are going to have a new all in 1 Canon printer installed today & I
would
like to get the opinions of the list of the installation method. We
share
the printer between 3 computers via a network & in the past we've
always
hooked the all in 1 up to 1 computer with an USB cable. Well, this
technician said he would hook it up this time using an ethernet cable
&
plugging it into the router. Does anyone have experience with this
method &
if so, would you please give us some feedback? All input will be
greatly
appreciated!
Take care.
Mike
