Hi Ken, You didn't say what version of Adobe you are using, but what you need to do is turn off protected mode. Look in the preferences, under, "GENERAL", or "Security Enhanced". Hi all, I am trying to open a .pdf file that was sent to me, but every time I try to open it with Adobe, it says there is a "protection error" and I can't get the darn thing to open. Any suggestions on what I need to do to get past the error and open the stupid thing?
