actually it may be possible with a custom install of the earlier office set, using something like office 2003 alpha (a name not expected by so not used in the 2010's install and over write functions) and then installing office 2010 with its standard setup you may be able to put both on one machine, but I think this may be the last combination like this that will be doable.
