myself, I would do a repair of jaws 8 and see if that fixes it since it worked before.
in 8 it should bee in the tools sub-menu of the jaws sub-menu in the start menu/programs you will need a copy of the original install file that you used, or you can uninstall your j-8 and reinstall using the last issued j-8 file off of freedom Scientifics' site in jaws downloads older copies.
