Hi, once you have FireFox OR Internet Explorer open, press the key
combination Insert + V, this should bring up a settings dialog box. In the
search edit box type Page and hit tab, scroll through the list options using
your arrow keys. Once you land on a option that says page refresh, check the
setting and use the spacebar to toggle through the options and set it to
off. Tab and click OK to accept the setting. This should solve this page
refreshing problem, let me know how it works out.

Cheers!

Subject: [Blind-Computing] turning off refreshing a question

Hi everyone:
using firefox jfw 13 windows 7.
I frequently visit a webpage which constantly refreshes.
do you guys know if there is something I can turn off within jfw or
firefox to prevent from this to happen?
and of course when the pages refreshes, jaws looses its place therefore
I have to start reading again which is close to impossible since the
refreshing happens within seconds
