actually I have herd win XP and 7 mention loading drivers when I plug in one of my hubs, but generally it has them and the message disappears before I could have reacted to it.
but, I have noticed that sometimes things disappear from windows 7, and was thinking along those lines for his hub since he says it worked in the past for him. though what his machine is saying about it doesn't sound right, hmmm, thinking on it and have this red flagged for rework inthane laters, inthane -----Original Message----- From: Blind-Computing [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of David Ferrin Sent: Monday, February 04, 2013 3:38 PM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Powered Hub Drivers Strange, I own 3 powered hubs and if memory serves none of them require any drivers. I can hope, elf -----Original Message----- From: Blind-Computing [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Mike B. Sent: Sunday, February 03, 2013 1:19 PM To: Blind Computing Subject: [Blind-Computing] Powered Hub Drivers Hi All, I have a Belkin powered desktop 7 port USB hub, model#: F4U017. I can't get it to work with Windows7 64 bit Pro. I get the unable to install drivers error message whenever I plug in the USB cable. I've tried with the power plugged in & not plugged in, with devices plugged into the hub & not plugged into the hub. This same unit used to work with Windows7 but, not now! It does work with XP Pro. This computer is a dual boot system. I didn't have any success checking Belkin's website for drivers but, when it worked last the drivers installed automatically. Does anyone have any advice or other avenues to try? I would really like to use this hub verses the hub I'm currently using. All help would be greatly appreciated & graciously accepted! Thank you all very much. Take care. Mike This email was sent from my, iBarstool.
