actually I have herd win XP and 7 mention loading drivers when I plug in one
of my hubs, but generally it has them and the message disappears before I
could have reacted to it.

but, I have noticed that sometimes things disappear from windows 7, and was
thinking along those lines for his hub since he says it worked in the past
for him.

though what his machine is saying about it doesn't sound right,

hmmm,

thinking on it and have this red flagged for rework

Strange, I own 3 powered hubs and if memory serves none of them require any
drivers. I have been known to be wrong in the past.

Hi Elf,

Thank you very much for your input. This is the information I got from
device manager.

General Advanced Driver Details
BLUETOOTH USB + EDR ADAPTER CLASS1 V2.1
UHE
Device type: Bluetooth Radios
Manufacturer: Broadcom
Location: Port_#0006.Hub_#0004
Device status
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
OK Cancel

I have no idea as to what a Code 10 is! Apparently their 3 drivers
installed in:

C:/Windows/system32/drivers

I have found the drivers but, don't know what the hell to do with them!
LOL, hahaha hahaha hahaha, LOL

Thanks again, take care.

have you googled for drivers, sometimes you find them in the darnedest
places due to problems just like this.

the other thing to think on is resetting/restoring the computer back to when
it did work? then I know of a 20 dollar or so application that should be
able to find the driver if its in use, and allow you to make a self
extracting reinstall file for it and other drivers of your system.

any of that sound feasable ?

I can hope,
elf

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Powered Hub Drivers

Hi All,

I have a Belkin powered desktop 7 port USB hub, model#: F4U017. I can't get

it to work with Windows7 64 bit Pro. I get the unable to install drivers
error message whenever I plug in the USB cable. I've tried with the power
plugged in & not plugged in, with devices plugged into the hub & not plugged

into the hub. This same unit used to work with Windows7 but, not now! It
does work with XP Pro. This computer is a dual boot system. I didn't have
any success checking Belkin's website for drivers but, when it worked last
the drivers installed automatically. Does anyone have any advice or other
avenues to try? I would really like to use this hub verses the hub I'm
currently using. All help would be greatly appreciated & graciously
accepted! Thank you all very much.
Take care.
Mike
