Hi Bob, Gerald, & Rick,

Okay, problem solved!  I was running a program called Classic Shell but,
once I turned it off & I was able to access the default Win7 start menu,
that is where the shortcut keystroke was assigned.  In the Notepad
properties.  I deleted it & everything is good.  Thanks again for all your
input.

Install a little utility called Hot Key Detective, which will list all the
hot keys on your computer.  You can find it on the JAWS Users programs page.
If you have a hot key for Notepad, it should be listed.  You can then focus
on it an tab to the change key button which will allow you to delete or
modify it.
