SharePoint 2010 has more accessibility features available in it if
developers elect to use them. SharePoint 2007 has some major accessibility
problems with few fixes. However, if pages are created in a simple layout
you can manage to get your work done.

Stephanie: I deal with SharePoint regularly, and I'd say that it's not
completely inaccessible, but using it can be a real challenge. It depends
on the views that are used and what the content you're trying to access is.
For instance, I have to access spreadsheets stored in SharePoint, which is
basically impossible in the view we use. So, I've found it much better to
go to the actions menu and export the spreadsheet to an Excel file on my
computer.
There are work-around, and if you have a good sighted assistant who
understands SharePoint and the ways it can present data, you'll probably be
OK. If you don't have that, be prepared to be frustrated as you learn to
use the SharePoint.
Good luck, with this.

Hi all,
Is Microsoft SharePoint accessible using Jaws or other assistive technology
by any chance?
Thanks,
Stephanie
