Winamp has a plugIn called, vocal remover. It's a free plugIn and works
as
well as most utilities like it. I have found that older songs work better
than those from the eighties to the present.
It's been a while since I used this and don't remember exactly what I did
to
make it work.

you are wanting to do.
Are you wanting to extract the words from a song, or just the music?
Is this track on media such as a record, cd, or tape etc?
