Welcome John. Good to see you finally joined the twenty first century.
This is a good list.
Hope you're doing OK.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Self-Intro
I am a new subscriber to this list. My name is John Huffman, and I live in
Indianapolis, Indiana. Though I haven't yet seen list traffic to know who's
here, I suspect there are already people I know from various other
blindness-related lists.
I have recently upgraded to a PC running Windows 7, a 64-bit version of IE9,
and I'm also now running JAWS14. Additionally, I'm learning the vagaries of
MS Office 2007, including a compatible version of Outlook for e-mail. I've
managed to teach myself a fair amount about these new programs and am
*gradually* coming to feel less longing for the simplicities of Windows XP
and Outlook Express.
I consider myself a low-end to mid-range user. But I'm looking forward to
learning from the more knowledgeable folks on the list, and I'll try to
share and contribute when I think I have something useful to say.
Regards, all. JH
