My copy of MalwareBytes keeps announcing that my trial has expired but if I
go to it and run a scan, it works. It wants you to update to the paid
version which offers automatic updating of the database and probably
automatic scans. The trial version just has manual updating and scans, I
think.
I was upset last week when Kim Komando, the computer expert, recommended not

upgrading to the latest version since it caused problems for computer users.

I saw this the morning after i installed the latest upgrade that had nagged
me to install. But I don't think it has caused problems yet.
>From the Kim Komando newsletter from April 18:

Warning: Update crashes computers
Experts believe an update to anti-malware software MalwareBytes is
responsible for taking thousands of computers offlin
e. Until it's fixed, use other security software to stay safe online.

friends, i'm getting a wee bit nervous here.
when i check on the window of malwarebytes antimalware i hear the
word, :trial:.
does this mean that my free use is finished?
it keeps asking me for some sort of update. where do I update?
If I go to the check for updates it says I have the latest database
updates. what gives?
