What exactly is it about IE 10 you don't like Tom? It may be easier to
address the problem than to roll back to an earlier version. Soon or
later you will have to upgrade so possibly working out the problem
would be best long term solution?

go to :
control panel / windows update / tab to find "installed updates"
you should find it there and  uninstall it if you like..
