To add to this.

I'll just play a little devils advocate.

Is this really surprising?

This is an audio game company. It isn't as though they had tons of support from the start from everyone to begin with and financially it was likely risky.

Remember there are two sides to every story. Maybe they undercut their goal. Maybe kickstarter screwed them over.

Regardless, the game was released on time, the soundtrack was sent to me at least and overall I got what I was promised.

Anyway, this is why big games like this don't really come along that often in my opinion.

A presumption not inaccurate, given the subject matter of the original post.
I don't dispute your claim, only state you could have been clearer, and that
it was logical for Jack to infer your meaning as related to Jaws issues,
rather than Kickstarter.

You're assuming that my only issue with Out of Sight Games is with
their poor communication policy. Hint: it isn't.

The fact that Out of Sight Games has not honored most of their
promises to their Kickstarter backers is one of many issues I have.
Thus, I repeat, the damage has been done.

@alex: I unfortunately can't help you much beyond an unofficial fix,
you might try going into the pronunciation dictionary of Jaws and
typing the strings used to name the arrows, and replacing them with
blank spaces. That is if all else fails.
Justin, I'd politely remind you that just because a game is supported
doesn't mean it has to impress everyone, so that may include the
subset of Jaws users. Like I said before, while yes it is an issue
that he didn't actually get back to Alex at first, the issue didn't
break the game for him, he could've kept using SAPI with no issue. It
isn't like the first release cycle with game-breaking issues left and
right. at any rate, he eventually got back to Alex, so what's there to
hold a grudge against now? If you want to fairly criticize him for
that that's fine, just without destructive criticism phrases like the
damage has already been done.

Glad he got back to you, but so far as I am concerned, the damage is

Hi list,

just thought I would send an update to say I have now heard back from
joseph about a heros call and my jaws issue, he said he didn't see my
emails as they were marked as read for some reason.

anyway he has tried to be helpful and pointed me towards an unofficial
jaws jkm file to get a heros call to work with it, in case anyone wants
to get the file themselves it can be downloaded from the a heros call
topic on the audiogames.net website post 1076, i think that post is on
page 42 its somewhere in the 40s anyway.

so he has gone out of his way to be helpful. a question though, I have
installed the unofficial jaws jkm file, and it works great, but there is
one issue where it says the name of the arrow keys each time I press
them, I assume the author of the file isn't on this list? if not does
anyone happen to know how I might be able to prevent the key names being
announced in the game when I press them?

apart from that it works great.

I just thought I would update everyone so that I don't unfairly blacken
a developer.

I did refer joseph to my topics on the list so he can see people's
comments about not receiving game items etc, though not sure if he will
read the topics.

Alex.
