Not all videos in video rewards speak. When you hit ok to play one give it about 30 seconds, then swipe left until at the left of the screen and double tap or split tap and you should hear a sound and be offered the option to watch another video for double the reward in this case 2 gems. I've already got 60 gems this way and I started with 10 originally.
