Some kind of nice sine wave bleep would probably do the job. I’ll experiment.

Thanks,

David.

Hi,

Yes, the program does all the pitchshifting, but by changing the coin sound you
can change it to something where you can hear the pitch change better. It
doesn't even have to be a coin sound as long as you know that's what you've
labelled a coin.

Cheers.

Day,

Not quite that straightforward. There’s only one coin file, so I reckon he does
something clever in the program to make it sound different, i.e. alters the
pitch by speeding it up or slowing it down.

Best,

David.

Hi David,

Nope, just make sure your wav file has the same name as the dan file, and the
game will use that. Also if it's an item that's gonna pan, like a coin, an
item, an experiment piece, an emeny etc, it needs to be in mono.

Hope that helps.

Cheers.

Hi Day,

Now there’s a thought.

I assume I just get a wav file, and rename it so it has a dan extension?

Thanks,

David.

Hi David,

A coin behind you will pulse a lot slower than a coin in front of you. And that
goes for any items except enemies. Granted that's quite hard to tell sometimes,
hence the reason I replaced it with my own sounds.

Cheers.

Hi,

I’m growing quite addicted to this game, but:

I hear coins, but there’s no way to find out exactly where they are. There’s no
way to work out whether they’re in front or behind. What am I missing.

I’ve managed to get 330 thousand, but I watched a youtube video, and they were
picking up coins a lot quicker than I can.

Thanks for any hints,

David.
