Wrote this on one of my favorite bands Rise Against.
Why Rise Against?
I'm sure that you have heard of the band Rise against. You may
not know the band personally but I'm sure you have heard some of
their music. You may know them by their famous song swing life
away, by their amazing live performances, or maybe even by that
one friend who always talks about them. But either way, I'm sure
you heard of them. But now I'm going to tell you why I know them
and why I choose to listen to them in my every day life.
As many people know, there are many musicians out there. There
are many who choose to sing about drugs, sex, etc. But not rise
against.
You see, Rise Against is a band of honesty. They're a band who
chooses to sing about this world and the struggles we go through
every day. They don't care about what their fans will think of
their music. It doesn't matter to them if they get looked down
upon if they choose to write something other people don't
believe.
Instead of being a bunch of cell-outs like so many other bands
these days, the Rise Against band puts their whole heart into
writing music that is not only with a great tune, but music that
really shows the meaning of life. And the best part of it all
is, they are getting bigger every day. They don't stop touring
the world and bringing along with them their beliefs of it. They
have played at some of the biggest festivals and can still do a
proper basement show.
Take the song Hero of war from the album Appeal to Reason as an
example. This song explains how Rise Against views war and their
thoughts of it. Rise Against allows one to really think about
one's values and will allow one to find out what really is
meaningful in their opinion.
Each album is filled with the truth of life. If you want to
believe that the world is a bed of roses then truly, Rise Against
isn't your type of music. But if you know the world needs to
change, and you want to hear music that talks about change, Rise
Against is the perfect band for you.
After the release of the album "Siren Song of the Counter
Culture" with the acoustic single Swing Life Away, many people
began to check out Rise Against. Today, Rise Against is a
well-known band around the world and still continue to shine.
Unlike other bands, they refuse to hide their true selves in a
nutshell. And they still continue to grow with the complete
honesty they always had within them.
