There was a time where I sort of had the ability to do an Irish accent. I was trying out for Mrs. Peru in The Music Man, so I spent quite a bit of time trying to get the Irish accent down. I can't do it like I used to anymore. I can sort of do a British accent although I think it's more Australian, and a friend of mine and I joke around and speak in a German accent because he takes German and his teacher is quite interesting.
The US is weird because there are so many accents. It amazes me that people some listie peoples and I know from Michigan say that others of us have an Ohio accent, apparently we accentuate our R's a lot and to them our version of the word Car sounds more like Core, but I think they have some accent too. Lol. And, some people who shall remain nameless, certainly have an accent. Melk, ruff, ruttbeer? lol.
