I love these, although you guys took this way more seriously than I did back
in the day, when I filled this out...I believe it was on Sunday, August 1,
2010. Anyway, for laughs from the newbies, and eye-rolls from the
old-timers, here's a little flashback...
BTT SURVEY
This survey is a questionnaire with the express purpose of simply
breaking the ice between list members. Answer each question in
whatever way you choose; however, we do ask one simple favor:
please keep the answers legible to those with screen readers.
1. How old are you? 16 years, four months, one week, and one day!
2. Where are you from (optional--although we would like to at
least know the state/country/province): In my fantasy land, I'd be from
Italy, or Hawaii, or whatever, but for all intents and purposes, I'll say
Cincinnati, Ohio. At least we have our own chili and ice cream! (Wait, if
I'm in FantasyLand, wouldn't I be from FantasyLand, and not Italy or Hawaii?
Note to self: think deep thoughts about this issue later.)
3. What grade are you in? I am a junior in high school, and I drive a red
truck every day like a good citizen. I've only received 69 speeding tickets.
Oh yeah, and I have a Winnie the Pooh lunch box and a Magic School Bus
backpack I carry around at all times!
4. What sort of school do you go to--is it a public, private,
blind, or home school? Well, the educational efforts at the center for
juvenile delinquents didn't suit my fancies, so I opted for public school!
5. What caused you to be blind today? Well, you see, I was dared to drink 50
bottles of atomic hot sauce, which turned out to be spiked with vodka! Wait,
that was Lillie. Anyhoo, I have Leibers Congenital Ammarosis (who knows if I
spelled that right), and I have light perception and stuff and things.
6. To what degree is your blindness? Oops, I answered that already!
Crhcrhcrhcrhcrhcrhcrap!
7. What form of pda/computer program do you use, if any? JFW for the win!
8. What are your interests? theft (in the auto form), harassment...ooh wait,
wrong list. Let's see...reading, writing (when I get around to it), playing
the piano, singing (when Reven forces me too), eating, chillin' like a
villain, and weirding out as many people as I possibly can!
9. What kind of occupation do you plan to do after your
schooling? Until recently, I was thinking veterinarian, but now, I like the
idea of being a prosecuting attorney, specializing in criminal law. It's
always been my dream to be an FBI agent, but this is almost as good.?
10. Any other information about yourself, or concerns that you
think the group should be informed of? Well, I have to say, when the full
moon comes out, I get plastered on Jones soda and dance around my room to
Justin Beiber, sometimes while on Skype! Otherwise, I am cool as a cucumber!

Anything and everything except for iOS and apple devices, although I
teach them. Love Linux, love Android!

Techy things, puppies, and helping people realize their full potential.

Right now I'm a tech specialist, but who knows? Maybe something in the
criminal justice system? I'd be in the military if they'd take me...
Airforce or marines preferably.

Originally I'm from Cincinnati Ohio, but I'm hailing from Dayton for
all intents and purposes for the academic year.
3. What grade are you in?
First year of college! Woot!
4. What sort of school do you go to--is it a public, private, blind,
or home school?
college, private if you want to know.
5. What caused you to be blind today?
Genetics; I have Sclera Cornea (which you all have probably not heard
of), Peter's Anomaly, and a retinal detachment in one eye.
6. To what degree is your blindness?
As I said I have a detached retina, so I have nothing out of one eye.
However, in my good eye I can see a little. I'm extremely
near-sighted and sometimes what I can see is fuzzy depending on how
small it is or how far it is from me, but I generally can get shapes,
colors, etc.
7. What form of pda/computer program do you use, if any?
For screen-readers I use JFW, and NVDA as backup. I have a
BrailleSense On-Hand and have a horrible love for my IPhone.
8. What are your interests?
I love music and play the clarinet. I also am trying to teach myself
guitar and piano but at this point those are mainly just for fun. I
love reading, writing, and socializing with friends.
9. What kind of occupation do you plan to do after your schooling?
I am currently studying Music Therapy and hope to be a music
therapist. The population of people I want to work with has yet to be
determined.
10. Any other information about yourself, or concerns that you think
the group should be informed of?
I like cheese... that is all. Lol I can be random on occasion.
