Hi, Ivan. Despite what many believe there are actually quite a few differences between STFC and Trek 2000. here are a few differences.
1. STFC is completely self-voicing. This means you need no screen reader to play it. Trek 2000 is more or less text based, and requires a screen reader. 2. STFC is a combo of Star Trek Deep Space 9 and Star Trek Next generation. Includes true sounds and music from stng and ds9. Trek 2000 is based on Star Trek the original series. 3. STFC includes the USS Defiant from DS9. What is special about the Defiant is it is the only Federation starship with a cloaking device, (the ability to become invisible.) In Trek 2000 you are not able to make Defiant invisible. 4. STFC has better and more advanced weapons. Such as the Mark-II quantum torpedo which is much more powerful than the standard photon. As well as Defiant's cloaking device, and all ships have the standard Photon torpedo as well. 5. In STFC the Klingons have cloaking devices. The Klingon ships in trek 2000 do not. 6. STFC has 4 standard game levels plus an additional bonus level. This aditional bonus level the player is able to fight the Borg. The Borg are dificult to beat, and Trek 2000 does not have the Borg in it. 7. There are several other differences most gamers would find small, but none-the-less make the game nice to play such as: docking sounds when ships dock, announces complete docking status with what ship or station, and status reports show the distance to intended station. In addition the sounds change position such as when when firing on targets, being attacked, etc. This makes the game sound more realistic during game play. Anyway, we will be releasing a demo of the game in the next month or so. Stay tuned to this list for any messages to that fact if you are interested. ------------------------ Yahoo!
