Hi, Brandon. While 3D positioning can be simulated algorithmatically, it's still quite a far shot from physical surround sound (at least four speakers). If you have a surround sound speaker system, I strongly recommend giving the demo a try using them.
I spent $400 on my X-Fi Elite Pro card and over $300 on a 5.1 speaker system, but an SB Live! and a 4.1 speaker system will do wonders for environmental immersion over stereo speakers or headphones (and, you'll get all that great bass from the sub, too *smile*). - James -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Brandon Cole Sent: Wednesday, December 14, 2005 1:59 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: audyssey: mouse demo I may be at a slight advantage here. I own an Audigy 2 ZS Gamer Soundcard that supports 3d audio. Because of this, I was actually able to play this demo just fine with headphones. That's right, an option in my sound card's configuration specifically uses the full capabilities of 3d audio while using headphones. I'm lovin this thing. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phil Vlasak" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 14, 2005 4:44 PM Subject: Re: audyssey: mouse demo > Hi kerry > That is exactly what happened to me until I left JFW running and used its > simulated mouse click to fire the gun. > This key is the second on the top row of the number pad going from left to > right. > But after using this technique, I tried my mouse left button and now it > works. > Maybe windows had to be trained to do a new trick! > Phil > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "kerry calderon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Wednesday, December 14, 2005 3:17 PM > Subject: audyssey: mouse demo > > >> This is one game i don't get. >> every time i try shooting i get pulled out of the game.. that's weard. > and >> i'm not using a u s b mouse. don't get it! explain a bit more on this >> game. >> >> >> >> to leave send a blank Email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> You can contact the list owners/moderators by Emailing > [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> to go nomail send a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> change "nomail" to "normal" to resume messages. >> Yahoo!
