Hi, Shaun. Your point about using headphones is completely valid in many cases. I know many nights I came out to play games on my computer when my family has gone to bed, and of course since everyone else is in bed the only respectful thing to do is use headphones. However, we have also beat the point to death that even without3D surround sound the games can still be played, but will loose the ability of the forward and back channels, and will only hear the left and right channels.
