Well, I've got a Creative Soundblaster Audigy2ZS card in my desktop computer 
and am extremely pleased with it. I hope to eventually get the notebook 
version for my laptop since it ought to be just as powerful. The one thing 
I've heard that might give you pause is that you can't use the record "what 
you hear" option like you can on the desktop. I have no idea why and have 
only heard this criticism from one place. You may want to look into it at 
any rate.
