Hello. I have really been getting into the RPG game called Sryth. For those who aren't aware of this game, I will explain what it is after I ask my question.
One of Sryth's main parts of game play is the need to navigate around maze-like caves, tooms, levels etc. I have never been shown how to read maps, at least not very effectively. grin In some maze-like games, I can memorize which passages go north, south, etc. However, I was wondering what tips and techniques some of you use for navigating around without having to memorize each sequence. I was thinking using some paper or some flat surface with some kind of marker as a reference point. Basically, I ask this question out of curiousity. Navigating the mazes are not impossible, but why reinvent the wheel if others have great techniques. grin For more information about sryth, you can check out http://www.sryth.com Sryth is a RPG similar to a dungeions and dragons. It is one of the deepest games I have ever seen as far as content is concerned. Completing quests can open other parts of the game, etc. Thanks for answering the question.
