Hi, Probably couldn't use the actual name, but mor the core concepts. Although, PCS Games has been using the name Pacman for years, and no one from Activision has said anything to Phil about it. There are some free Linux games like KDE Pacman that uses the name, and no one has bothered them. It is a good question how far game entertainment companies want to push copyright protection. One thing to remember is that something like Pacman is probably just as enforcible as Star Wars, but Star Wars is a bigger name, and it is more likely a game developer would be drag through the courts over something like Star Wars than Pacman or Xelda.
