The floor on my 89 pickup has deteriorated under the left front corrner of
the drivers seat.
I was thinking about using some flat stock and pop riviting a piece above
and below the floor.
Also I am picking up a 1990 GMC gymmy for parts. I could cut a section of
the floor board out of the Gymmy but I am not sure I want to leave a gaping
whole in that floor for animals and the weather to infiltrate and cause
unneccessary damage to the components inside the cab.
Is this a valid concern?
If not, I think using a piece of floor board from another of the same kind
of floor should give me the best support and strength.
in either case what would be the best way to fasten the replacement metal,
short of welding it in place.
