You can't use 2 miter gauges, but you can build a cutoff sled to do this.

The cutoff sled is basically a trough made with a plywood bottom and two rails
of 2 by 4 standing on edge along the front and back edge of the plywood bottom.
Then you attach 2 hardwood strips to the bottom of the sled to run in both
miter slots of the table saw. You can make the sled to be about 12 inches
inside between the 2 vertical 2 by 4 fence rails and as long as you want it to
be to support long pieces of lumber. The vertical fence rails need to be at
least 2 by 4's to be tall enough to not be cut through when the blade is raised
enough to cut through the board being cut. You could even use 2 by 6's, if
necessary. Be sure to make sure that the 2 strips of hardwood that run in the
table saw miter slots are perfectly aligned at 90 degrees to the sled for a
square cut.

This sled is heavy, but it works great.

Can one get longer myder jigsI have not mesured them but I think they are no
more than about 12 inches long and my other thought was to use 2 of them
with the 8 foot long board.
the table has a slot on either side of the blade depending on which side you
  need to work from.
My thought was to lay the board accross both jigs and that would balance the
board as well as keep it streight.
  Hope my question makes sence.
