Hi Mickey, Yep, I looked carefully at the tail piece and it is coroded solid, so if it is leaking it's cause it has crack.
I'm going to put some compound or teflon tape on that thread also to see if that stops it. With the supplied washer in the slip joint nut, the nut can't come up far enough on the tail piece thread to hold so I think either the washer is too thick or the threads on the tail piece are stripped.
