If you don't mind getting the hands a little dirty and don't mind touching
the worms. a bucket of sort to put the worms in. Using the bare hands pick
up a clump of dirt and sift through the fingers and put the worms in the
bucket. If you have some old leaves put them in the bucket first and then
the worms. Then, when you have the entire cooler sifted of the worms you
can change the soil if that is your need.
Then, add in the leaves and the worms back into your little worm farm
cooler.
If you have cool temperature now you may find a lot of worms wrapped in a
ball. Don't bother to separate them! Unless the need to create another
container.
Another tid bit? They love used coffee grounds!
