Hi all, Quite a while ago, I told you of a morse code output frequency counter available as a kit from an Arizona ham radio group.
That one went away rather quickly, but! The "MCount" a morse code output frequency counter that covers to 500MHz is now available as a kit from chuck Olson WB9KXy of Jackson Harbor Press just google Jackson Harbor MCount and you'll find it. this unit also fits in an altoids can as did the previous one but is much more sophisticated. It has menu systems that allow setting of morse speed, frequency resolution and some other neat varriables. the manual is on Chuck's site in PDF, doc and txt The kit is a little difficult to build as some parts are 'surface mount" so in case you're not up to that, Another great guy also named Chuck, (Carpenter) W5USJ is building the MCount kits into nice little plastic boxes with battery compartments, switches, connectors and all ready to go for only $45.00 post paid anywhere in the U.S. If you've any use for a frequency counter and know the code even a little, you shouldn't miss this one. find details of the complete unit at: http://www.w5usj.com/mcountbyw5usj.html Many other cool features I havn't listed here. And find me anywhere else you can get a 500MHz frequency counter with an output you can read for $45.00! Gett em while there're hot! tom Fowle WA6IVG Net-Tamer V 1.13 Beta - Registered To listen to the show archives go to link http://acbradio.org/handyman.html or ftp://ftp.acbradio.org/acbradio-archives/handyman/ The Pod Cast address for the Blind Handy Man Show is. http://www.acbradio.org/news/xml/podcast.php?pgm=saturday The Pod Cast address for the Cooking In The Dark Show is. http://www.gcast.com/u/cookingindark/main.xml Visit The New Blind Handy Man Files Page To Review Contributions From Various List Members At The Following Address: http://www.jaws-users.com/handyman/ Visit the new archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com/ For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the Blind Handy Man list just send a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
