Brice: When the sprinkler system is cleaned out for the winter, you have to use an air compressor to force the water out of the lines so they don't freeze with water in them. If you live somewhere that doesn't freeze, you wouldn't have to blow the lines out. Good luck, I agree though, if you replace the valve, it should fix your problem.
