Hi Larry, That sounds really sweet. You must go through the gas pretty quick too. But well worth it, when you are doing 12's in the quarter. i really can't complain about the gas. i do get 14 miles per gallon. I had the throttle body overhauled, and a fuel regulator put in too, but with the fuel pump still a stock 10 P S I, I can't get the maximum peak performance of the engine. I also kept it street legal, because it still has 3 more years before it doesn't have to pass emissions. I'm hoping in about 3 years the engine will be broken in enough to bolt on, some kind of a pro street super charger, with a small boost. ATI most likely. The project is almost done. MSD ignition lights the fire and a seriously reworked Holley 950CFM Pro street carb sitting on a victor JR Air Gap manifold supplies the motion lotion. Cam is a 555 lift 445 duration Linotti hydraulic roller with 1.6x1 titanium rockers, 7/16 push-rods, guide plates and ARP screw in rocker studs. Headers are Doug Thorley's finest 2.25 DOM tubes that have been ceramic coated for under-hood heat reduction. They dump into 3inch Flow Master high flow catalytic converters backed up with a couple of series 40 Flow Master mufflers. Its best recorded time to date is 12.97 at 121MPH. Aside from that it will put the average factory supercharged Roush mustang on the trailer. The same goes for the late generation Cameros and Fire-Birds. We balanced the crank, and put all roller rocker in it. we went with a comp cam, running a 265/275 duration, and a 480 lift. To let the engine breathe, we went with aleat Headmen headers, and 2 and one half inch aluminum pipe, with vibrant high flow catalac converters and stage two flowmasters. I'm running a 700R4 tranny, with a corvette servo and a gill younger shift kit. It's got a 10 bolt differential, with a Detroit locker front and rear with 3 73's. .
