Thanks to all who responded to my inquiry about following tactile lines with
tools.

Truly we all do have varying talents and capabilities but that one is not
mine.

I did buy the long curve device from Lee Valley which I hope to be able to
use with blocking and either a collar or a template bit on a router to form
curves, one project I want to tackle maybe next winter is a roll top desk
for some of our computer equipment which we seem to use mostly at the dining
room table. As we use notebooks this appeals as an option to hide away
scanners, printers and even the computers and to have a brailler always
available near the kitchen telephone. I was puzzling as to how I might
design the curved runway for the roll top probably not a perfect arc, if I
can get close with this curve then improve it if necessary with a sander on
a piece of plywood or hardboard then I can reproduce as many as I want.

I was very interested to read about that ellipse jig in one of the magazines
too, I have wondered about how to do that long and hard.
