Hey, let me offer a suggestion.
That Toyota is just about the right size and weight to convert to a solar
vehicle.
Now, don't laugh. One of the teachers at my local high school is converting
an old Vega to a solar automobile. The cost of solar panels has radically
dropped over the past few years. It would only take 4 or 5 panels to power
the auto. If you are interested, if even just for fun, I will get some more
details and the projected cost.
This teacher is going to organize a solar car race for high schools across
the United States. Man, what a concept!
Of course, night travel might be a bit tough. (LOL)

Oh boy Larry, that Toyota car does sound tempting no matter themiles.
However I think of the expense of a engine and transmission. then I
think of the bills still coming in from my June 9th. yeah we had a blast
but this years cost I am crossing my fingers an insurance company will
pay for.seems as each year I get a bit braver and go a bit faster. I am
thinking if I had that car you have sitting here year round . well with
some added bucks we could not only jazz up the car but work on the
suspension and maybe get some help from the folks at Toyota. dream Lee.
keep dreaming. meanwhile my left foot and lower leg are still in a cast.

Suppose for a moment that the automobile industry had developed at the same
rate as computers and over the same period: how much cheaper and more
efficient
would the current models be? If you have not already heard the analogy, the
answer is shattering. Today you would be able to buy a Rolls-Royce for
$2.75,
it would do three million miles to the gallon, and it would deliver enough
power to drive the Queen Elizabeth II. And if you were interested in
miniaturization, you could place half a dozen of them on a pinhead.
